K-grams, Inc. Board of Directors

Our original boards have been completely composed of undergraduate students with a passion for change within our communities. These students have also been supported by various Advisory Boards. The foundation of student leadership remains, even as our Board expands beyond campus borders. Since 2001, K-grams has been officially incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization operating under the laws of the State of Michigan.

What is the role of the Board of Directors?
The K-grams, Inc. Board of Directors is responsible for the overall health and management of the organization, its national office, official chapters, and all expansion efforts. This includes revising and adhering to the Long-Term Strategic Plan, guiding decisions through the expansion process, overseeing staff functions, proposing and enacting fundraising activities and more.

What are the qualifications for serving on the Board?
We seek qualified individuals who are willing to contribute to the growth and development of K-grams, Inc. Candidates must be enthusiastic, passionate, at least 18 years of age, committed to social change and/or student leadership development, and love working with elementary and/or college communities. The Board of Directors meets 2-3 times a year in Ann Arbor, MI, with other duties outlined as necessary.
