| K-grams Gymnastics Night! |
Friday, January 27, 2006 was the Fourth Annual
K-grams Night at the Michigan Women's Gymnastics Meet! The
U-M Wolverines defeated Big Ten rival Ohio State 195.900 - 192.000
at Crisler Arena. K-grams sponsored games, prizes, and other fun
throughout the night. The K-grams community responded in
full force, helping to raise money for K-grams menoring programs

K-grams
Night Raises over $4,000 for Kids!
Just by attending K-grams Night, over 4,000
fans helped to raise money for literacy and mentoring programs
in K-5 schools. Comcast donated $4,000 to K-grams, $1 for
each fan in attendance. Thank you Comcast and fans!

Meet Highlights Included:
- Free admission for all K-grams kids
and mentoring groups (with complimentary blue ticket)
- Picking an “Honorary Gymnast”
to sit with the team during the meet, as well as "Floor-Side"
seat winners
- Raffle for prizes, including an
exclusive visit to a Women’s Gymnastics Practice and a
pizza party for one lucky student's classrooms
- Autographs and pictures with the
team after the meet
- T-shirt giveaways, face tattoos,
team calendars, athlete trading cards, and more!

- What - K-grams Family
Night at the University of Michigan Women’s Gymnastics
Meet. Watch the team compete and have some fun in between with
your K-grams friends. The gymnasts compete on the floor, balance
beam, uneven bars, and vault, while the crowd enjoys their performances,
and even more!
- Who - Everyone! Kids,
families, neighbors - everyone is welcome to come join the U-M
college kids and athletes right on campus! Please note
that this is a family event, and no adult supervision will be
provided.
The women’s
gym team is led by senior All-Americans Becca
Clauson, Jenny
Deiley, and Lauren
Mirkovich.
- When - Friday, January
27, 2006 from 7:15pm - 9:15pm (get there early to beat the traffic
and get the best seats!)
- Where - Crisler Arena
on the U-M campus. (Crisler Arena is located on Stadium Blvd.
east of Michigan Stadium at the corner of Stadium Dr. and Main
St. on the south side of Ann Arbor. Please see UMgym.com
for parking and directions!)
- Why - Watch some
amazing olympic-level gymnastics, have fun with college friends,
and raise money for K-grams! (Comcast
will donate $1 per person who attends to go towards Kids Programs.)
- Want tickets - All K-grams
kids get in free with a complimentary blue ticket they will
receive at their school. All U-M students get in free with their
student ID! (Note: K-grams is also distributing special
free ticket packages to partner mentoring and community agencies,
in celebration of National Mentoring Month. Email
us for details if you feel you qualify!)
Otherwise, general admission is: Adults $5; Children $3. All
seats are general admission, so get there early and claim your
spot!
